Because something so simple as pair of eyeglasses can have great impact on human lives
Millions of people living in remote areas are imprisoned in a world of semi-darkness or the inability to see clearly. According to WHO reports over 500 milion people in the developing world could have their vision restored with a simple pair of reading glasses,
but most of them do not have access to them. The ability to see clearly has a direct impact on these lives, restoring them to become productive members of their community again. Lifting them out of poverty by allowing them to regain their earning potential in their professions such as teachers, tailors, carpenters, shopkeepers, weavers and artisans. These are only some of those who need to see clearly to maintain lives of their own and their families. By giving these peoplea chance to see again, we bring them back as valuable members of their communities.
